“I believe anyone who is involved in hiring should know the value our candidates place on this work and highlight all of the ways in which we promote an inclusive environment.”  – Session Participant

American Indian OIC believes that an inclusive workplace is one that recognizes and celebrates the diverse backgrounds of all employees. Led by American Indian OIC’s president, Expanding the Circle, is a series of one-hour workshops designed to equip employers with tools and knowledge to foster more culturally affirming work environments for Native American employees.

Did You Learn This in School?
This session delves into the issues faced by Native communities in the wake of 20th century US policy. Participants will gain understanding of these issues and their impact on contemporary education and economic systems.

Culture: Why Does it Matter?
Understanding the significance of culture is essential for any organization. In this session, participants will discover how a deeper understanding of Native American culture can create a more respectful and collaborative work environment.

Is Your Workplace Really Inclusive?
In this final session, the inclusivity of current workplace practices is reviewed. Participants will learn practical strategies to identify barriers and implement changes that promote a truly inclusive atmosphere for all employees.
