On Thursday, May 8, 2025, American Indian OIC hosted our Annual Founders’ Day Block Party & Career Fair, a gathering that was especially meaningful following a challenging week for the American Indian community. The event served as a time for healing, support, and unity, bringing together community members, employers, and partners for a day of empowerment and connection.
We were honored to have CBS News Minnesota on-site to cover the event, sharing our story with a wider audience. Their coverage highlighted the strength of our community and the impact the event had in providing not just career opportunities, but a much-needed space for healing and togetherness.

About the Event
The Founders’ Day Block Party & Career Fair is more than just a job fair, it’s a celebration of community, hope, and resilience. During a time when our community needed healing, the event offered an opportunity to connect, reflect, and move forward together. Job seekers had the chance to meet with employers from industries like healthcare, tech, and skilled trades, while also finding strength and support in each other.
We are proud of the spirit of unity that filled the day and grateful for everyone who joined us. At American Indian OIC, we remain committed to empowering individuals and building a stronger, more connected community for the future.
